"I'm boring,' said my Turkish friend. He wasn't at all!

Learners of English often confused over the meanings of 'ing' and 'ed' adjectives. Bored and boring are good examples. My Turkish friend was a chess teacher at the school in Turkey where I taught English. He didn't have enough classes so he was frequently bored. His time at school was boring. Much as I like playing chess, I always found it surprising that chess was on the curriculum. But, then again, it was a private school and they wanted to impress the parents.

By the way, that guy in the video isn't my Turkish friend. :-)
